How do I qualify for SSS?

It’s easier than you think!  To qualify for services a student must be an American citizen or permanent resident of the United States, admitted/registered at Dixie State University, must demonstrate an academic need for services as defined by the institution, and meet at least one of the following criteria:

  1. FIRST GENERATION– Neither of your parents received a four-year college degree before you were 18-years old.
  2. LOW INCOME STUDENT– You are receiving financial aid such as a PELL grant or your taxable income meets federal guidelines.
  3. DISABILITY– You have a documented disability through our Disability Resource Center.

You can pick up an application for membership in the Browning Resource Center in offices 120, 119, or 106. You can also use our online form. The SSS staff reviews applications and interviews perspective participants. In order to qualify, students must have completed no more than 40 college level credits.
