Originally from Florida, Janet has been living in the St. George area and working at UT since 1996. She started her career at UT as a Purchasing Specialist, and was soon recruited to be an academic advisor for TRiO-Student Support Services. During her stint with TRiO, she earned an MS in Student Affairs Administration from Indiana State University, and moved on to serve as the Assistant Director of the UT Academic Advisement Center. She and her husband, Curt – who is a Biology professor at UT – started a new adventure with the birth of two daughters, and Janet continued as a part-time advisor for Utah State University, Southern Utah University, and in various UT departments over a span of 14 years. In 2017, Janet returned to a full-time advisor position, again as a member of the TRiO-Student Support Services team.
